Good mental health = good physical health

It is not surprising that if you have a happy, healthy attitude to life that you will also have a happy and healthy physical body.  BUT so many people do not prioritise their health.  Women who are mothers are renowned for putting their family first, children, partners, career, and by the time they get around to thinking about themselves, they are so far down the list that there is no time in the day – for them.


  • Are you feeling tired, overwhelmed, overworked so can’t be bothered going for that morning walk, that you used to enjoy?

For many people it begins slowly, without even noticing, consciously, the small changes you are making in your lifestyle.  Then one day, you become very aware of your weight gain, increased alcohol consumption, increased lethargy, lack of social connection and realise you feel totally overwhelmed.  It is an easy spiral and can very quickly get out of control – ‘just one more drink after work won’t hurt- I deserve it’ OR ‘I really don’t have time to exercise’, OR ‘I’m too tired to socialise with friends’. 

Life simply ‘gets in the way’ and there seems to be no time to complete anything, let alone start anything new.  This is all too common but the good news is, you can change.


We only get one chance at this life, and it does pass by very quickly.  Most of us really want to make a difference in this life, to leave our mark, to make change for the better.  We want to empower our children with an optimistic and healthier future.  This can only be achieved if we look after ourselves first.
